We’re inviting residents from the Lee Road and surrounding neighborhoods to join us for an engaging morning of coffee, conversation, and community planning. This meeting is your chance to learn more about joining the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood Board and help shape our goals and priorities for 2026.

Join the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood for our community cleanups, where neighbors come together to care for and beautify the Lee Road area while building stronger community connections. Cleanups take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and launch from Foxtail Coffee, located at 805 Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and all supplies will be provided.

Please save the date for Tuesday, October 6th at 5:30 PM for National Night Out, our annual community-building event held on the first Tuesday of October. Location to be determined.

Organized by the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood Program, National Night Out brings together residents, law enforcement, local businesses, and community partners to strengthen police–community relationships and foster a safer, more connected neighborhood. This event is part of a nationwide effort to build trust, encourage collaboration, and create more caring places to live.

The Orange County Mayors’ Toy Drive donates hundreds of toys to the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood to administer to the families in the extended stay hotel off of Lee Road each year and we gather to wrap them in advance. We are also collecting toy donations at Oh Hey Cafe a few days leading up to the wrapping party where we will bring volunteers together to wrap gifts before disbursing them the next day. Meet fellow do-gooders in the community and wrap a toy for a child in need.

The Lee Road Safe Neighborhood invites residents affected by recent flooding near Mosher Drive and Shasta Drive to join us for an important community meeting. This is an opportunity to share your photos, experiences, and concerns directly with the Orange County Department of Environmental Protection and staff from Public Works.

We will discuss the next steps for addressing drainage issues and improvements to the Lake Weston canals. Your input is essential to help guide solutions for our neighborhood.

Join Commissioner Semrad’s Office for a volunteering opportunity to clean rooms of veterans who are currently struggling with homelessness and volunteer to clean rooms for disabled veterans.

Join us for our bi-monthly Lee Road Safe Neighborhood community meeting! This month, we’re focusing on a vital topic—Hurricane Preparedness—just in time for the 2025 hurricane season.

We’ll be joined by representatives from the Office of Orange County Emergency Services to guide us through essential preparation tips, resources, and what to expect this season. We’ll also hear from a representative with Orange County Recovers, a grant program that provides financial assistance to qualifying households with significant hurricane damage not covered by insurance.

Community Clean Up- Sept 29th 2024

Join the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood team during our bi-monthly community clean ups which serve the Lee Road and Edgewater area! We bring residents together to clean up the areas that have a lot of trach gathering off Lee Road and make sure our neighborhood is taken care of.

National Night Out 2024

Join the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood community for our annual National Night Out! This is our yearly initiative to bring residents together, allow vendors to sell information or organization to table and spread the work on their local missions.

Community Meeting: Meet the D5 Candidates

Join the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood Team April 9th at 6 pm during our regularly scheduled bi-monthly meeting but this time, we have two of the three candidates who are running for District 5 County Commissioner speaking about their platforms. All candidates were invited and the third candidate is not available. This event will take place at the Fairview Shores Library and will be steamed online.

This is a terrific opportunity for the residents of the Lee Road area to come together and hand a hands-on opportunity to clean our community and take care of the streets we all know and love.

Holiday Toy Distribution- December 16th @ 6 pm

Each Year, the Lee Road Safe Neighborhood community distributes toys with a community member who dresses up like Santa for the Holidays! This is an amazing opportunity to help the families int eh extended stay motels along the Lee Road and I-4 area to ensure every child can have access to something special for the holidays. Join us this year!

Toy Wrapping Party- December 15th @ 6 pm

Join the team with Lee Road Safe Neighborhood during the 2023 Toy Drive and Wrapping Party! This will be the first opportunity to volunteer and support the collection, wrapping and distribution preparation ahead of the delivery to the families.

FDOT Community Meeting: July 27th @5:30 pm

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public meeting regarding project plans on Lee Road (State Road (S.R.) 423) from west of Kingswood Drive to east of Adanson Street on Thursday, July 27, at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of this project is to promote pedestrian safety along S.R. 423, including intersection improvements and converting the existing directional median west of Adanson Street at the shopping center to a full traffic signal. Virtual Option: Interested persons may join from a computer, tablet or mobile device at 5:30 p.m.
